The desktop computer at the Institute is nearly ten years old, and it is having problems connecting reliably to the internet. I spent some time trying to fix the issue, which is intermittent and thus difficult to identify. I might need to reinstall Windows from scratch, but I have a couple of other ideas to try first next week.
I taught my Seminary class at 4pm, with four kids present. It was on the plan of salvation/happiness, and I let them teach me to a large extent. They knew their stuff pretty well, and we had a very nice exchange, with good questions and comments. I've always loved teaching that topic!
My wife made Rice Krispie treats for the Seminary kids, and two mac & cheese casseroles with ham for the evening Institute lesson. Marshmallows are not used here much, but Metro has them, so we can use them when needed. Today we didn't have to buy anything, since we already had all the ingredients at the Institute, which made it much easier for us. Everything got devoured, the casseroles especially quickly -- we're going to have to do some portion control in the future, as several of the first kids took huge servings, not leaving much for the rest. Ugo did a nice job on the lesson, covering Jacob's teachings in 2 Nephi. It was good to hang with the kids throughout the day.
