The plumber, Antonio, came by about 10am to fix my ever-running toilet. He opened up the box in the wall and was stunned at the mix of hardware he saw. It wasn't fixable, and he went to the store to buy a completely new name-brand fixture that was made for this toilet, instead of the previous generic one that didn't really fit. Within an hour, for 100€ he had completed the job. I am delighted!

I listed Dee's knee scooter (Gino) for sale on eBay for a fraction of what it cost us. It is hard to find a home for it, because you have to wait until you need it. So far there have been no nibbles. We will see what happens.
I took Ugo's Christus statue to the Institute. It had been on display at the temporary visitor's center at the temple, which closed last month. The statue, which is pretty heavy, now sits in our campus entryway. When you walk in, it sends a message of what we are about.
Dee spoke with the young Sorelle about inviting immigrants from the Friendship Center, coming up with a policy to try: no more than three immigrants per event, each an investigator accompanied by a missionary. Hopefully that compromise will work well.
Nobody showed up at the Institute until the evening, so I got to work on my Friday lessons during the afternoon. However, then we learned that there would be a transit strike all day Friday, messing up our classes. It looks like we will probably cancel everything, but we will wait to see if there is any change in the strike schedule before deciding for sure.
We had a fun evening activity, with only a few kids present, where Joyce got photos of each GANS and their favorite scripture. Then they made a Word doc with each page having the photo of the kid and the text of their scripture. We will print them all out and place them on the walls throughout the campus. They didn't quite finish, but it was looking good when I left.
Samuel came with his laptop. I helped him download and install the free student copy of Microsoft Office, and then helped him a bit as he submitted his first two assignments, which were overdue. So he is making progress, though I hope it is not too late this semester.
I got home about 9pm, and Dee was looking, feeling, and sounding quite a bit better, so it was the right decision to have her stay home.
